LG webOS software licenses other TV-brands

LG recently announced that TVs from other brands will soon get the webOS smart TV platform. Some companies have already signed on, including RCA, Konka, and Ayonz. LG said in a press release that it has the potential to reshape the TV business for both content providers and technology while significantly developing prominence and LG’s presence in the market of worldwide home entertainment.

The report appears after, in January, LG unveils a webOS’ significant overhauled version. On 2021 TVs by LG, it favored a more traditional scrolling home screen by ditching interfaced slide-up blades entirely.
