People still use ‘123456’ as password

Research-based – Individuals are still using easy to hack passwords.

Once we make a password or update one, we become so lazy to create a difficult one. Though the world is about to get over in 2020, it could be an ideal opportunity to beef up your security game because the new research has revealed that people are still going with simple to-hack passwords such as the word PASSWORD, 123456789, and ILOVEYOU.

Technology has grown up, and so for hackers, and they are always looking for opportunity, and people still lazy for making a hard change. In the list of 200 worst passwords this year, the most commonly used password is 123456, where 2,543,285 individuals selected this password. 

According to research from a password management company, NordPass, it takes less time than a second to crack passwords, especially if they are simple.

From cybersecurity experts, despite so many reminders, NordPass says that once they compared the year 2020’s list of the most used and common passwords to the list from the year 2019 and it was observed that there is almost to not much difference, otherwise known as they haven’t learned a lot.

A third-party company created the list of passwords which is specializing in data breach research, said NordPass. Altogether, they analyzed the whole database consisting of 275,699,516 passwords. 

The most common password used by people, according to research –

SENHA means password” in Portuguese, and PICTURE1 is also used as common password. Here 10 most common password used by individuals are shown;

In case you are one of the people who are using any of the above passwords, you should change your password as you may also catch by attackers. Try not to use predictable number combinations, dictionary words, or adjacent keyboard combination strings. 

Furthermore, this should abandon saying – but you should not use your password based on any personal details such as birthday or name or phone number under any circumstances. According to NordPass suggestion, you should change your passwords every time after 3 months with a mixture of lowercase and uppercase letters and making a different password for each of your accounts.
